We’re Outset Consulting, or more personally, Lauren and Patricia. We created Outset to help small businesses start their journey off on the right foot. We believe in the power of small but mighty teams, prioritizing expertise and quality. After decades of experience, we know what it takes to achieve success because we’ve done it dozens of times. Now, we’re ready to continue our passions and seek out new clients to continue forward.
At Outset, we have exciting plans ahead, but above all, we’re here to declare our unwavering commitment to helping you grow your business. Think of us as your unofficial business partners, ready to guide you through the changes and challenges that come your way.
We understand that small businesses often face resource constraints compared to larger companies, and our mission is to bridge that gap—providing the support and expertise you need to thrive.
Our story is as straightforward as it goes - we worked in corporate America with some of the biggest names across a variety of industries. We put in the work, we did the 9 to 5 (and beyond), we achieved success through campaign launches and corporate milestones, and so much more.
We experienced corporate burnout in many ways. Whether it be trying to navigate a performance review, “red tape” analogies, layoffs, and other hurdles specific to large corporations (Seriously, who doesn’t love a pizza party?).
So, we’ve decided to invest our skills elsewhere, where we could skip all of the above and directly see the impact our work makes. Our mission is to help smaller businesses and creative individuals establish and evolve their own companies and brands. Our hope is to help a small business or creative individuals feel confident in themselves by equipping them with the tools needed for success.
Our passion is connecting with people to deliver personalized success. We want to create impactful work, not the kind that includes outdated rubrics for performance, arbitrary percentages, inflexible retainer fees, and sub-par service. It’s the small businesses, creatives, and entrepreneurs that keep industries alive and makes a real difference to people, their communities, and their industry.
What started as freelance jobs and helping friends and colleagues chat through business ideas, now lives as Outset Consulting.
